The 2016 version of the annual T-20 cricket tournament would bowl off early in the new- year.

President of the Carriacou United Cricket Board, Brian Whyte, said that they are looking to commence the competition on Sunday January 3rd.  He pointed out that they had hoped to start on the previous day but several of the players felt that it would not have given sufficient time to recuperate from the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Whyte said that they are once again expecting an exciting tournament which he pointed out would be concluded on Sunday February 14 – Valentine’s Day.

At least 12 teams he said; are expected to participate in three different zones.   The Dover Titans are the defending champions.
