They were all queens; performed wonderfully and it was only regrettable that one had to be singled out for the crown.
Their beauty, elegance, poise and charm thrilled the very souls as seven lovely ladies adorned the National Stadium stage on Majestic Thursday and gave the audience a lot more than they had anticipated.
What they offered was more than enough to confirm to every attendee that their presence was justified.
Intelligence and eloquence in the speech category; carnival spirit in the costume category, grace and-should I say sexiness- in the swimwear and elegance, poise, sophistication and awareness in the evening wear/question and answer category.
The night’s eventual overall winner and 2014 national carnival queen, Ms. Ebony Telesford accentuated all of those qualities maintaining an edge on her co-contestants almost throughout the competition and was picked to wear the crown by most spectators cum analysts from early in the programme.
Ms Telesford portraying Pure Reef went through the various categories with an air of relaxation and complete self confidence, qualities necessary for royalty.
The training and preparation of the participants were admirable and those responsible must be commended and generally the contestants did very well the only obvious weak area being the question and answer category.
