BC Stars Shines Again For Consecutive Parang Title

Bishop’s College (BC) All Stars will reign for a second consecutive year as the champions of the annual Parang String Band Competition.   

Appearing in the fifth and final position, the defending champions swept all but one title in what was a truly dominant performance.  They comfortably retained the title by becoming the only band to cross the five hundred points mark.  They registered a winning score of 518.  The first runner up prize went to Ghetto Youths with 497 points while Belmont, Belvue and Harvey-Vale (BBH) Serenaders secured the second runner up place on 466.

GHTA ‘Dollar a Day’ Programme Donates $60,000 towards Grenada’s Only Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Chamber

On December 15th, 2016 St Augustine’s Medical Services (SAMS) were the happy recipients of monies from the ‘Dollar a Day’ programme. The funds had been specifically earmarked to assist the institution in its purchase of the islands first hyperbaric chamber. A significant milestone for medicine in Grenada and one which directly affects sectors of the islands tourism product.

Woodlands Resident Brings Christmas Cheer to Villagers

A Woodlands resident has once again brought Christmas cheer to residents of Woodlands and surrounding areas for the sixth consecutive year.

The young man who goes by the name of Randy Coutain last Sunday held his 6th Christmas party for Children and elderly in the community.  The function was held at the Sugar Bowl Disco in Woodlands and saw the distribution of over 80 pieces of toys to children and food hampers to the elderly.
