A vehicular crash, on the Grand Anse main Road described as horrific by eyewitnesses, claimed the life of Trinidadian Aaron Horrell and left his female traveling companion injured.
Horrell was a medical student of the St George’s University.
The crash occurred during the early morning hours on Sunday April 26 when Horrell apparently lost control of the Toyota Corolla he was driving.
According to eyewitnesses report Horrell overtook about three vehicles just before the crash. Speeding is believed to be a major factor in the in the incident. The vehicle was reported to have spun totally out of control, careened into the wall, rebounded into the pole and ended as a mangled, bent chunk of metal. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene while the female passenger, also a student of the St George’s University was taken to hospital. The extent of her injuries was not confirmed. She is however reported to be in stable condition.
It is said the driver had come from dropping off some of his friends at their homes after a gospel concert they had attended.
