22 Year Old Found Hanging

The body of 22-year-old Larry-Ann John was discovered on Saturday evening in the area known as Stone Street in Coals Gap, St. David.

A release from the Public Relations Division of the Royal Grenada Police Force stated that Larry-Ann was found in her bedroom hanging by the neck with a piece of rope on Saturday 8th April, sometime after 8:00 pm.

The district medical doctor pronounced her dead at the scene. A post-mortem was expected to be conducted to determine the actual cause of death of the twenty-two-year-old.

According to sources, Larry-Ann had attempted suicide sometime last year, causing her to be hospitalized.

Meanwhile, various persons in the society are getting concerned about young persons taking their lives and calling on families, friends and general residents of the different communities to report or seek some assistant for persons who they believe may be depressed, have been talking about suicide or behaving strangely; any action, which may lead to suspicion of their committing suicide or even taking someone else’s life.
