Two men in CRV arrested Good Friday Featured

  • Written by

The driver and passenger of a white CRV SUV that crashed into a passenger bus on Good Friday in Pearls, St. Andrew have been arrested.

According to the police officer that visited the scene of the accident, the driver of the van attempted to mislead the police and was later arrested together with his passenger.

The van was traveling from the Tivoli direction into Grenville on the wrong side of the road when it crashed into the bus traveling from the opposite direction. The driver of the CRV was subsequently identified but he claimed that he was not the one driving as he is suspected not to be a licensed driver.

The man accompanying the driver tried to convince the police that he was the one driving the CRV but they proved this to be untrue.

The actual driver of the offending vehicle was not cooperative with the police, refusing to give his name and present requested documents to law officers and therefore both men were arrested and taken to the Grenville Police Station, where they were formally charged with criminal and traffic offenses.

The white CRV was later toured away to the Grenville Police Station.
