Two men remanded after $300,000 drug bust at sea

Two men from the village of Woburn in St George’s were remanded to the Richmond Hill Prison last Friday, following a three hundred thousand dollar bust out at seas in the Perseverance area of St Georges last Wednesday.

 The two Joenel Charles and Alden Samuel were both denied bail last Friday when they made their first court appearance before Chief Magistrate Tamara Gill, at the Number One Magistrate Court in St. George’s.

St. Lucian on Money Laundering Charges returns to court today

A twenty-two year-old St Lucian national slapped with charges of fraud and money laundering is due to reappear at the St George’s Magistrate Court today (Friday)

 The former student of the St George’s University who presently resides at Grand Anse in St George’s, was arrested last Monday by police officers attached to the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), after a search on her home revealed a quantity of items believed to be the proceeds of criminal activities.
