GFA names World Cup qualifier Squad

The Grenada Football Association (GFA) has released the names of its 23-players ahead of today’s (Friday) 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia Qualifiers clash between Haiti and the Spice Boys at the National Cricket Stadium.

Having gotten word from the stadium authorities that the facility would be ready and in top shape, Grenadians are anticipating a high level of football from the Spice Boys who have been in serious training for the past couple of months.

 Meanwhile in a release on Saturday, the GFA announced that overseas based professional player Aaron Pierre who plays for the Waycombe Wonderers, will be the lone newcomer to the squad 

that also includes two teenagers; Jamal Charles and Kimo Sampson and three goalkeepers namely, Shemel Louison, Jason Belfon and Shaddi Mark). 

The full team reads: 

Shemel Louison, Jamal Charles, Anthony Straker, Aaron Pierre, David Cyrus, Jason Belfon, Kimo Sampson, Cassim Langaigne, Shannon Phillip, Rohan George, Patrick Modeste, Irvin Smith, Jake Rennie, Moran Phillip, Marcus Julien, Leon St. John, Quinton Rennie, Aswad Phillip, Terry James, Henson Cuffie, Kareem Coutain, Kacey Smith and Shaddi Mark. 

The technical staff includes: Peter James - Manager, Andrew Munro - Head Coach, Jerry Alexis - Trainer, Thomas Alexis - Goalkeeping Coach, Augustine Jones - Equipment Manager, Dr Francis Martin - Doctor and Michael Bascombe - Media.
