Vin Blaine takes up duties as GFA’s New Technical Director

Jamaican Born Vinimore Blaine on Monday 17, July 2017 took up his duties as the new Technical Director of the Grenada Football Association.

Blaine, who has a wealth of knowledge in his field, is a FIFA and CONCACAF regional Instructor. He is the former Head Coach of Harbour View FC Men’s Premier League Team in Jamaica and the former Technical Director of the Jamaica Football Federation.

The GFA new Technical Director has also participated in FIFA workshops to develop a handbook for Technical Directors he is also a Coaching Instructor, he was also instrumental in Developing a Manual for the JFF/UTECH Coaching School.

He is a strong advocate for women and beach football.

Blaine, who arrived in Grenada on Friday 14th July, has already met with the coaching staff of the National teams.

In his meeting with the coaches, Blaine highlighted his expectations of them as National coaches. He noted that the way forward for the teams is for everyone to work together.

He also plans to meet with all team and club’s coaches on Saturday 22nd July to plan a more tactic football approach.

He says his mission, as the Technical Director here in Grenada is to raise the standard of football that is being played and to expose players to more opportunities.
