St Patrick Champion of Andre Fletcher GCA U15 cup

St. Patrick under-fifteen cricket team is the new champion of Under 15 Cricket in Grenada.

The young men from the historic parish emerged victorious in last Wednesday’s final with an impressive five-wicket victory over St. Mark at the River Sallee Playing Field to walk away with not just bragging rights, but the 2017 Andre Fletcher/ GCA Cup title.

St Mark won the toss and chose to bat in a match reduced to 45 overs due to overnight showers. They were bowled out for 66 in 25.4 overs.

The main contributor to that total was extras with 32, comprising 30 wides, 1 no ball and 1 leg bye. Minor contributions came from Nathan Alexander with 8 and Tyrell Young with 5.

Bowling for St Patrick’s Trique John had 4 for 13 from 5 overs, Cordell Lewis and Kelshon Andrew both capturing 2 wickets each.

St Patrick’s in reply reached 68 for 5; Divonie Joseph scored 15, Jadon Joseph and Kelshon Andrew both scored 9.

Bowling for St Mark, Kervyn Gangadeen 2 for 17 from 6 overs and Deshawn Jeurakhan 2 for 25 from 5.3 overs.

St. Patrick’s winning by 5 wickets from 16.3 overs
