PETERS PIECE: Some Good, Some Bad

I have a special admiration for persons who are skilled with their hands. Unfortunately I was never able to learn any handy skill but I look upon those who did with admiration and a little bit of envy.

As a little boy I remember looking at the roadside mechanics that broken down motorists would bring on site to solve the problem of their ailing automobile and regard them as absolutely wizards. You take a furtive peek into the engine area and you see this tangled and confusing maze of wires, screws, bolts and unrecognizable thingamabob and you wonder how he could possibly know what he is doing.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Decompression Illness (The Bends) Need for Hyperbaric Chamber

Over the years, several Grenadian divers from the Calliste and Woburn areas and in general people who dive for a living have died or became paralyzed or disabled after contracting the Bends or decompression illness(DCI). Many of them have put their lives in jeopardy while diving for lambie, lobsters and seamoss at depths greater than 33 feet and have developed the illness by going back up to the surface too quickly.

GFA clears the air on FIFA’s sanctions against Grenada’s Senior Head Coach
